2018 Interior Design Trends to Swoon Over
The time has come to reflect upon the trends of yesterday and those that will thrive in the year ahead. Social sites like Houzz and Pinterest help us hone in on what's hot in the new year. Here's a look at some of our faves...
1. Jewel Tones
Color experts like Sherman Williams and PANTONE® have both selected rich jewel tones as their Color of the Year for 2018. Oceanside SW 6496 , "a collision of rich blue with jewel-toned green" and PANTONE 18-3838 Ultra Violet, "a dramatically provocative and thoughtful purple shade". These gems are popping up on sofas, throw pillows, and accent pieces; often in luxe velvety fabrics.

2. Matte Black Finishes
This matte suede finish is rich, versatile, and completely practical. We love it in the bathroom, kitchen, on a chandelier, or just about anywhere really...

3. Floral Prints
Large printed florals add a perfectly romantic accent to a powder room, throw pillow or accent chair. We love the balance of this feminine pattern paired with rich tones of black and muted pastels.

4. Warm Wood Tones
We might need to take a little break from the classic white kitchen in 2018... Cabinets are warming up again with natural wood tones. Today's warm wood has a matte finish and is complimented best with a subtle mix of painted neutrals.

6. Mixed Metals
Shades of brass and copper have been making a strong comeback for a while now. If you're not quite ready to commit to brass everything, you're in luck! The art of mixing metals is totally on trend and makes it easier to dip your toe into these finishes without going overboard. Bonus: Brass and matte black are a match made in heaven, try them together for the ultimate trendy look!
